Grand Soleil has launched the new 44ft model that’s available in both a Performance and Racing version.
Grand Soleils' latest model is a sporty 44-footer that’s offered in a performance cruising and a racing version. Both versions benefit from generous interior volumes, with the racing having a taller carbon rig, with a race-optimised deck layout and sail plan. In both cases, the cockpit space is significantly improved compared to earlier models.
Despite a sleek, low-profile coachroof, the extra space outside is achieved without compromising space below decks. The standard arrangement is three cabins and two heads, both of which have separate shower stalls.
Maximum beam is carried well aft at deck level but is narrower at the waterline, which reduces drag and suits a single rudder configuration.
Specification
Hull length: 13.4m (44ft) Beam: 4.3m (14ft) Draught (std keel): 2.5m (8ft) Displacement: 9,500kg (19,850lb)
Exteriors
Safe and elegant lines, which outline outdoor spaces of great style and liveability. The rearward positioning of the shaft makes it possible to move forward the position of the cabins and to have a cockpit of dimensions never reached in previous models, giving ease and lightness to the distribution of the dust jacket layout.
Interiors
Comfort, style, and functionality, in perfect balance between a hull with a sporty character and the exceptional livability of the spaces below deck, with an internal layout that includes three cabins and two bathrooms, as well as a large kitchen area and dinette. The width of the beam offers generous and comfortable interior volumes, made bright by the natural light that enters through the large windows.
